After 17 years in business, I’m happy to report that Berberich Design has merged with BDT Architect & Designers, a firm I’ve teamed with for years. Their offices are located in Athens and Columbus, Ohio—and my Rapid City office will act as a satellite. By joining forces, we now offer expanded capabilities and services that include architecture and related building specialties, interiors, experiential graphics, wayfinding signage design, and brand activation. All of this means that I’ll remain here in South Dakota—but I’ll have reinforcements.

BDT opened its doors in 1983 in Athens, Ohio, as an energy-conscientious practice, and since then has prioritized incorporating sustainable design principles in its work. Together, we look forward to continuing our shared sensibility and mission—to support clients and organizations in realizing their own core purpose: Improving the user experience. That user might be you—in your own home—or your targeted clients, or hospital patients and staff, or students, or the general public. This mission is accomplished through implementing a creative design process of investigation, stewardship, problem-solving, and collaborative solution-building.

Our combined team is agile and trained in complementary disciplines. That means that we can save you time and effort by managing the design process. As we fine-tune this new beginning, Berberich Design will eventually be phased out. I look forward to introducing you to my new team.
